Just letting you know that the best man speech was a success so thank you for your help. I was nervous but everyone I spoke to said I came across well and they all loved the jokes. In fact they clapped as well for one of the jokes so they must have thought it was pretty good. They also thought the poem was really good. A least a dozen people said it's the best speech they've ever heard :-)

Caroline, Just to say that the whole wedding was a pretty special occasion and
it all went down a storm. The speech came off super super well and everyone
loved it. I was up against it though, the 'microphone in a tent with guests
sitting down with copious alcohol' was not to be and instead it was 'standing
on a mound outdoors with no amplification’. However though it all came
off. So thanks for the training, I've picked up tips, tricks and advice that
will help me beyond the speech.
